March
March 12th Thorrablot Icelandic Mid-Winter Celebration. This is our annual OPEN HOUSE. Everyone is welcome. The Icelandics will start out with a short ride outside and then a demonstration in the riding all. We will end the riding portion with a beer tolt competition. Entertainment, Icelandic foods and fun will follow in the lounge.
March 18th, 19th, & 20th (weather permitting) Flugnir Icelandic Horse Association of the Midwest www.flugnir.50megs.com plan a group event at Woodside Ranch www.woodsideranch.com in Mauston, Wisconsin. Please check with Winterhorse as to the availability of this event.
March 26th & 27th Gudmar Petursson Riding Clinic (part 1) Gudmar Petursson will be teaching the first of a three part series of riding clinics here at Winterhorse. These clinics will offer two private lessons Saturday and Sunday. You will be given instructions on what to work on with your horse until the next clinic date when he returns to take you to the next step with your horse.

April 15th, 16th & 17th Midwest Horse Fair in Madison Wisconsin Flugnir Icelandic Horse Association will be organizing the breed demonstrations of which will include horses from Winterhorse Park. Be sure not to miss our performances on Saturday and Sunday.
April 29th, 30th, & May 1st Minnesota Horse Expo Flugnir Icelandic Horse Association will be organizing the breed demonstration. Don’t miss our fun performances.
April 30th & May 1st Gudmar Petursson Riding Clinc (part 2) Gudmar Petursson will be teaching the second of a three part series of riding clinics. Again, you will get two private lessons on Saturday and Sunday.

May 21st & 22nd Gudmar Petursson Riding Clinic (part 3) We hope to have the third and last series of clinics with Gudmar Petursson. The dates conflict with the World Champion Tryouts so please check with us to verify this date.
May 27th & 28th International Breeding Horse Evaluation Judges are Herdis Reynisdottir and Elisabeth Jansen. Evaluations will begin on Friday morning with measuring and conformation judging and the first riding assessment on the pace track. Saturday will allow the second attempt for riding assessment. May 29th & 30th Summermot A USIHC Sanctioned Icelandic Horse Competition. Elisabeth Jansen will judge this sport competition. Summermot Information & Registration

September 16th, 17th & 18th Flugnirkeppni A USIHC Sanctioned Icelandic Horse Competition. Judged and further details to follow. Show Bill, Registration, and Stall & Paddock Reservation.
